Pudding Lane was launched in a South-London kitchen on 1st January 2014, just a few months after I moved to the city I now call home. Fresh from Christmas at home and faced with a broken boiler, I could think of no better time to bake a cake and to start writing about it.

I am not a professional baker. I am a home cook, favour traditional styles of cooking, and love to bake with seasonal ingredients. Living in London, I'm lucky enough to have incredible markets on my doorstep.

Why do I bake so much? Because it's the linchpin that reminds me of my roots and keeps me sane when life gets a little carried away. I'm now lucky to write about food and develop recipes on a freelance basis, and luckier still that it doesn't really feel like work.

Thank you so much for stopping by - if you'd like to get in touch, you can email me on I am PR friendly and love hearing from you.
