Pudding Lane was launched in a little South-London kitchen on 1st January 2014, just a few months after I moved to the city I now call home. Fresh from Christmas at home and faced with a broken boiler, I could think of no better time to bake a cake and to start writing about it. 

I am not a professional baker. I am a home cook, favour traditional styles of cooking, and love to bake with seasonal ingredients. Living in London, I'm lucky enough to have incredible markets on my doorstep. 

Why do I bake so much? Because it's the linchpin that reminds me of my roots and keeps me sane when life gets a little carried away. I'm now lucky to write about food and develop recipes on a freelance basis, and luckier still that it doesn't really feel like work.

made this cake yesterday amazing, today i'm using rasberry vodka smells fab added chombord to the drizzle will let you knoe how it turned out

You might already know this and i don't know whether it's something to do with me using Chrome but a lot of the images on your recipe blog aren't showing up which is a shame! I've made your g&t cake btw and it was absolutely amazing! fab x
